On August 25th, the "China Can Association · First Tomato Festival," organized by the China Canned Food Industry Association, was held at the Xinjiang Agricultural Expo Park in Changji National Agricultural High-Tech Industrial Demonstration Zone. Dou Liang, member of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, led representatives from our city's pre-fabricated vegetable industry association enterprises to participate. During the event, Dou Liang, member of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, Zhong Jinhua, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, and Zhang Jin, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and Deputy County Mayor of Anyuan County, participated in activities such as exhibitions and the opening ceremony.

During the event, Dou Liang had in-depth exchanges with industry experts, research institution leaders, and entrepreneurs, including Liu Youqian, Chairman of the China Canned Food Industry Association, Yang Liu, President of the China Culinary Association, Wang Xiaju, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Food and Nutrition Development Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Guo Shunjie, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of COFCO Tunhe Tomato Co., Ltd., and Wang Yong, Chairman of Xinjiang Laughing Kitchen Food Co., Ltd. They warmly welcomed business representatives and friends from various sectors to visit Ganzhou, promoting mutual understanding, seeking business opportunities, investing, and collaborating for development.

It is reported that Xinjiang is the prime region for tomato processing in China. Tomatoes are like a vibrant red calling card for Xinjiang, representing one of the prominent industries the region is focusing on. Among them, Changji Prefecture has a tomato planting area of 250,000 mu (about 41,336 acres), accounting for approximately 40% of Xinjiang's total planting area, and its processing capacity contributes to about 35% of Xinjiang's total capacity. Changji Prefecture currently has 25 tomato processing enterprises, including COFCO Tunhe Tomato Co., Ltd. and Xinjiang Laughing Kitchen Food Co., Ltd., forming a comprehensive tomato industry chain encompassing "seed, cultivation, processing, sales, logistics, and product research and development." This model leads the way in the development of the domestic tomato industry. The event's organization will significantly promote the improvement of tomato industry quality, market expansion, and achieve a higher level of development.

Dou Liang and his delegation also visited various departments (enterprises) in Changji Prefecture, including the Impression Gobi Grape Planting Professional Cooperative of the Supply and Marketing Cooperative, Xinjiang Fruit Industry Group, and the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Supply and Marketing Cooperative, to conduct investment and inspection activities. They engaged in discussions and exchanges related to grassroots social reform and development, agricultural socialized services, and the display and sales of specialty agricultural products. Song Xiuhong, member of the Party Committee and Director of the Supervisory Board of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Supply and Marketing Cooperative, participated in the discussions and accompanied the inspection.
